Welcome to The Binding Stitch!

I'm Sophia Romano, a stay at home mom and college student based out of College Station, Texas. I am a lifelong stitcher and was fortunate to grow up down the street from a LNS (Charleston Needlepoint Company in Charleston, West Virginia, which is now closed). For my 20th anniversary of stitching, I decided to put myself out there by posting my work on social media (@TheBindingStitch) and designing things for others.

I recently won the Texas State Fair teachers and professionals needlepoint division and got second in the teachers and professionals specialty stitches division. I also organize stitch meet ups and lessons in the Bryan College Station area and on Zoom. In the future I hope to teach classes and participate in needlepoint retreats.
